Based on your answers, you’re the
Sentimentalist

Based on your responses, you’re the
Sentimentalist
Based on your responses, your leading clutter type is the Sentimentalist. So what does that tell you? For one thing, it tells me that you’re a sweetheart; that you value the experiences represented by objects.
It also tells me you’ve got strong emotions, which is a wonderful trait, however, one that can make it harder to let go of things that end up cluttering up your life and actually blocking you from more great experiences.
Your Style & Strengths
It’s a very valuable trait to care. Don’t ever lose that. Your caring is worth so much. You care about people, places and experiences. You’re willing to lend a helping hand.
You’re a good friend. You’re loyal. You value what’s beneath the surface. You might well be a history buff. Your kind heart wins people over.
Your Challenges
Sentimental items are considered the toughest to declutter. It’s kind of ironic because they’re often items that don’t show obvious value to the outside world (though sometimes of course they do) but the real value is in what they represent to you.
They bring you back to the person, the event, the warmth, the nostalgia of when that item found its way into your life.
However, holding onto things isn’t the real way you honor the experiences they represent.
I would never tell you you have to get rid of every little thing but when things are piled up and creating clutter, they’re actually blocking out the awesome experiences meant to come your way today and in the future.
Everyone who’s ever gone through this decluttering experience will validate that for you.
That’s why I’m compelled to share Decluttering Dudes with you.

Did you know that the average American spends a total of two and a half days every year looking for misplaced items? More than a third of homeowners say their garage is too cluttered to use for parking.
There are more self-storage facilities in the United States than Starbucks, McDonald’s, Dunkin’ Donuts and Pizza Hut locations combined (source: The New Yorker).
